Hi, my name is Sami Laughlin!
I am the owner and founder of S.Laughlin.Co. I started my first business at 16 years old as The Art Studio Collective. What started as a youthful expression of my artistic interests has grown into a sophisticated photography and content creation company.
With every project I set out to tell the story through the intricate details. That means that i’m equally as interested in the big picture and the hidden elements that led to that moment. On a wedding day, that could be hand written love letters that came before the “i do.” For portrait sessions, it’s a moment for mom and dad to remind them of who they were before their little loves came along. For branding clients, this means showing off the personality that created a dream and brought it to life. With every session, I hope to meet and exceed your expectations of photography by infusing professional photography experience with instinctual artistic vision. While earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Kinesiology, I also gained experience in higher education while working in student success for my University. Having the experience of helping other learn, discover new success strategies, and leading classes and workshops developed a love for education that directly connects to other areas of my life.
In 2019 I started teaching a women’s only Krav Maga class with Absolute Tactical Defense, which further developed my love of this activity and grew a passion for teaching. I love teaching health and wellness in addition to self-defense and I love any opportunity to speak on this topic.
In addition to my dual degrees in Kinesiology Exercise Science, I also hold the following certifications:

While Kinesiology is a complete 180 from everything else that I am passionate about in life, I love it completely and look for any and every opportunity to teach others how to love their bodies and treat them well while pursuing health and functionality every day.
