Ari and Jahvon - Engagement 2024

Last summer some of my outdoor sessions were so miserably hot (thank you, Georgia heat + humidity) that my clients were sweating through their outfits and I was spending a lot of time editing out sweat, haha!

This summer, I wanted to create a mini session offering that would allow my clients to capture the fun of summer without being miserable, hot, and sweaty. Soooo…. I decided to offer lake mini sessions that were full of romantic, Notebook, main character vibes. Check out this moodboard:

When Ari booked this session for her and her fiance, Jahvon, she marked a “10 - the spicier the better” on the PDA comfort chart on my new client booking form. I knew that this photoshoot was going to be next level amazing, and it did not disappoint!

Ari & Jahvon had different levels of experience with professional photos, but they both looked totally natural in front of the camera and we flowed through this session with ease!

Other sweet details:
+ Jahvon proposed to Ari at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens the night before their photoshoot, so this doubled as an engagement session for them. My husband also proposed at ATL Botanical Gardens, so that was sweet to bond with them over.
+ I found a better lake location and changed our session location at the last minute. Little did I know that Ari & Jahvon have spent a TON of time at this exact lake spot and even have some personal photos from here too. How perfect is that?

As a photographer, I spend a lot of my editing time squealing at every single photo that pops up on my computer screen while I am culling each gallery. But I can honestly say this was one of my favorite photoshoots I have ever done. Ari & Jahvon were the perfect models and allowed me to create pure art for them through this photoshoot.
